Oh my!  It's been a long time since I posted...or even visited my own blog.   Lots has happened. Jamie and Steve have been married for over five years and they are expecting their first baby in early June.   Jimmy is retiring at the end of May and so looking forward to it and baby sitting.  I plan on retiring next spring as well.  My sister and I bought a little cottage up north and are looking forward to spending time their just relaxing and scrapbooking and knitting, taking walks and enjoying each other's company.  I've been doing a lot of scrapbooking over the last few years and have now branched off into the mini album creation.   I made one for Jamie and Steve using the graphic 45 mother goose collection.   I love how it turned out.   I designed a chest to store it in as well. It took approximately 40 hours from beginning to end.  I used Kathy Orta king's hidden hinge system, the basic album decoration is from a tutorial I bought from Paper Hoard Disorder but I modified the construction to suit me (as I always do with any project, page layout, etc).  I will try to upload a few still pictures and a video I did (it was unfinished at that point...about two more hours of work before it was completed.     Happy Mother's Day all!

Well tonight I packed the van for the scrapbook sale at the college. I decided to do a quick sweep of all my supplies and actually filled up two more tubs with stuff to try to sell off. Hopefully all goes well and I come with a few less tubs filled with stuff I don't really need or use.

Sunday Night

Well another weekend has come and gone and I did not get near as much as I wanted to done. I did get through some of my recent scrapbook supply acquisitions. Now I have to go through all of it and see what I can purge. I am slowly selling off supplies I no longer need or plan don't want anymore. I am attempting to simply but that is hard to do with all the gorgeous papers that keep coming out for scrapbooking.

Wow, this is a new one for me. I love techi stuff but can be intimidated by it. Well I said 2010 would be a year of change. My daughter is getting married, I bought a kindle and now have a blog. I think this is a good start.
